Roll of Fame Honoree –
Julio Perez
Stockton
Mexican-American Bowling League
Gold Medallion
To qualify as a Gold Member nominee for the M Am
B O roll of Fame a bowler must maintain an
average of 200 or more for at least 5 years or
an individual must maintain an average of 190 or
more for at least 10 years. Or he must bowl a
minimum of three sanctioned 300 games or at
least one sanctioned 800 series. Sounds too
easy! To bowl an 800, you need three 267 plus
games in one 3-game series. Maybe not so easy.
Julio is one
of the original members of the Stockton
Mexican-American Bowling League. This league has
produced several Gold Members of our MAmBO Roll
of Fame. Tonight, Julio will be joining his
friends, Al Oliva Sr. Hank Molina, the Godfather
of Stockton Mexican-American bowling, and Manny
Guzman.
Julio has
maintained a 200 + average in multiple leagues
since the 1997-98 season bowling at West Lane
and Pacific Bowl in Stockton.
On October 6,
2000, Julio bowled 11 strikes in a row for a 297
game and an 812 series. On January 1, 2001,
Julio again rolled 11 strikes in a row for a 290
game.
Congratulations to Julio Perez a Gold Medallion
Honoree.
