We met Joe in Bakersfield. At the time he was
President of the Fresno Mexican-American Bowling
league and one of the directors of the annual
tournament. Later, Joe was elected Vice
president of the California Mexican-American
Bowling Association. Though the organization
never really took hold, Joe continued bowling
and holding office in Fresno where he.
Joe is receiving the M Am B O Roll of Fame’s
Silver Category, “Service to the Organization”.
Joe was
honored at the annual Fresno tournament with
this poem that I would like to share with you.
Remember Me!
Do not be sad
that I am gone,
Be glad that
I was here,
If you
remember me at all,
Remember love
not tears.
So sing a
song and have a laugh
And if you
think of me,
Please let it
be with joy and love,
And keep my
spirit free.

award for Joe is a long time friend and past
president of the Fresno Bowling Association.
